Step 10: Work as Meditation

Mood Reset • 5-min breath then work timer as meditative focus.

Whenever you feel your mood is not good, before starting work, throw out a deep breath for five minutes. You will be surprised that in five minutes, the bad mood will be gone. If we can make our work itself a meditation, that is the best thing. This practice transforms ordinary work into a meditative activity, bringing full awareness to whatever task you're doing.

Before starting work, take 5 minutes for a mood reset. Sit comfortably. Take deep, slow breaths. With each out-breath, imagine releasing any tension, any bad mood, any stress. Breathe it all out. After 5 minutes, you can begin your work. Now, bring your full awareness to your work. Whether you're typing, reading, creating, or cleaning—be completely present with the task. Let the work itself be your meditation. Focus fully on what you're doing, moment by moment.
